Catching up with January :)

Sunday, January 20, 2013

Wow, it's already past the half way point of January. I have a few things to clear up today. First, I want to point out that I feel like I'm struggling with using SP. I'm finding that the time to get on here daily in order to get consistency awards, spin the wheel, and check in with everyone nearly doesn't exist, it also seems to be next to impossible for me to record what I eat and work out. Maybe that means my food and exercise habits need revamping but for now, it just doesn't seem to come together in the end. Where do I find the time to record everything when I barely have time to do my hair every day. I even tried to start slow at the beginning of the month by just recording the names of things and approximate measurements. However, typing things in on my phone is ridiculously time consuming and I never seem to have paper with me to write it all down. Has anyone ever tried taking a picture of what they eat before they eat it? Any feed back on how you manage to fit food tracking in would be *much appreciate*!

Also, for exercise. I find that I do a lot of small exercises on certain days that can't be put in and added to my minutes. For example, I take the stairs everyday at the retirement home. Sometimes I'll do 8-10 flights of stairs 5 or 6 times over the course of a day. Or I go for a walk. Or park and then walk to do shopping at different stores in the area. How do I add all of that in without painstakingly and meticulously counting and recording?

During the summer when I can record my runs on the map is very helpful or my strength training. But right now it feels like there's a huge struggle.

I am looking forward to getting into the 140's!!! I haven't been in them since before my first pregnancy!

LOVE my fitbit! Now I dont have to log exercise at all! I find that I eat alot of the same foods frequently so I add them to my favorites and that makes it quicker. Once you get the majority of what you eat in the tracker database, it gets much easier.

I keep a note book and track all my food and exercise that way because A) I find spark doesnt have most of my exercises B) the amounts of foods I use dont match up here... and I can take it everywhere I go!

I have tried using the new fitness tracker and it is annoying because you have to add minutes and sometimes I do not know how long I did it for and have to guess... but you can add your own exercises...

Have you looked into a fitbit for tracking your daily cals burned? or a pedometer? that might help you keep track better! I've been looking into them myself!

you are well on your way to your goal! Keep it up!!
