I wanted to start off this blog by explaining my status update from last night about the wedding. I wrote that I might not be getting married next year after all without explaining. Well, I didn't think to explain and there's a character limit, too. So here's the explanation. We may be putting off the wedding not because we are fighting, not that we don't fight once in a while, but because we want to move from where we are desperately. Things where we work are getting more and more unbearable and there's slim to none job opportunities where we are. So we are currently considering putting off the wedding to use those funds to get out of here. We are not sure yet, it's just a consideration at this point. That is what is going on. We are both doing very well together, so that's not what's going on. Explanation done, lol.

So we are getting ready to start a new BLC. Let me tell you, I am excited. It's been a long time since the last one and I really want to get my act in gear this time as a leader and as a person. I have a lot of goals this year and I need to get my butt in gear and start getting to them. So, I'm going to post my measurements and all that jazz again this time around and my fitness tests and my fitness plan seeing as I'm starting over yet again. My reset button has been hit so many times, it's really not funny. But at least I'm still trying, right? Anyway, my fitness plan is simple. I have a couple of DVDs that are supposed to work together as a boot camp to get you some good cardio and power sculpt. I'm going to do one of those DVDs every other day, every day. This time I'm treating it like a doctor's appointment or something that I can't miss and stop skipping my workouts. I can't reach my weight loss and fitness goals by skipping. So there's that. As for my measurements, while I'm not proud of the fact that some of them went up from the last time I took them, November, they didn't go up as much as I thought they would have. So while I have gained weight, I've kept a lot of muscle and that's something to definitely be proud of. So here are my week 1 measurements:

    I'm sorry to hear that! As I'm sure you've investigated, it's not the getting married part that is expensive, but the traditional wedding. My parents were super broke when they got married, and she made her own dress, her friend made her cake and they served cake and tea in the church for a reception. It wasn't fancy, but it was special. I have always had the opinion to not put off marriage for lack of resources and to build your fortune together. But I totally get that that is not for everyone.

As for the new BLC- YAY!! Go you! I'll be cheering you all on from the sidelines :) You got this girl!

    I too am re-commiting and made it through the first day today. I have 6 ziplocs of mixed fresh veggies done up for the week and had forgotten how good they taste till I had my first one today with a can of fish and some yogurt for my lunch.

Just now, 9pm, I went out and got myself a bowl of potatoes, turnips and carrots and a small slice of ham leftover from the boiled dinner I had for supper. Now, I must have really been HUNGRY to go get that for a snack, eh?

Good luck to you too, very brave of you to list all your stats too. I find it hard to even post on my own SP when I go up a pound....good for you!

    All of us have times when we step off the "healthy journey" path and either wander through the woods or just sit down and rest for awhile. The IMPORTANT thing is that you're here and headed in the right direction. You've set a goal to get your workouts going again, and your history proves you WILL make that happen!

    emoticon The most important thing is that you are back and ready to give it 100%! I really like your idea of treating your workouts like a doctor's appointment! I have kind of done the same thing, where, no matter what, I will not let myself skip a workout. I might have to change what I am doing, when I'm doing it, etc., but no matter what, I don't let myself skip it. And I find having a streak helps me stick to it... my streak was about 4 months long, then I stopped for a couple of days over Christmas and it was like pulling teeth to get myself to start again! emoticon emoticon Vipers have got this challenge in the bag!

    It always sucks when plans have to be put aside. But going into a marriage without the stress of external factors is always the better plan. I am sure you two will work out what is best for you.

As for the BLC#17 Challenge.....AHHH! I am so excited! I don't think we are on the same team. So on behalf of the Cobras: WE ARE GOING TO OWN YOU! HISSSSSSSS!
