I got a much-needed grocery delivery yesterday, so Saturday was my first day of starting South Beach in earnest. I have to admit I am a little nervous about Phase One because I LOVE FRUIT. I usually eat soooo much fruit. But I'm willing to give this a shot. My husband started a week ago and says he is feeling great.
Today, I'm cooking up Italian (Turkey) Sausage with Lentils. I'm going to have that with some steamed broccoli. And right now I'm eating some lowfat Greek yogurt as a snack. It seems hopelessly boring without some fruit mixed in, but I just realized I could get mint and cucumbers and make tzatziki, which I love.
