Not a Great Week, But I'm Not Discouraged!

Sunday, January 20, 2013

Well, last week was not a great week, but I refuse to get discouraged! I know exactly what I did wrong and I know what I need to do. For example, I went out with some friends and we went to dinner after the movie! I was not too hungry, but I continued to eat instead of stopping. So, I ate way too much last night. Additionally, I did not workout the way I intended. Only 1 day for strength training & only 2 days for cardio, which is so not like me!

However, some good things did occur last week. I got 7 out of 7 days of 7-8 hours of sleep. I did move more at work, not just stay at my desk for hours and hours. I ended up doing 5 days of one my other team's challenge, which consist of doing 10 squats and 10 lunges per leg when I go to the restroom. So, I ended up doing the following: 7 sets on Monday, 5 sets on Tuesday, 5 sets on Wednesday, 3 sets on Thursday, and 5 sets on Friday! Also into the equation, I have been taking my vitamins everyday (7 out of 7 days). I almost forgot for a few days, but I got out of that bed and jump on it to take those vitamins! As far as being a friend to myself, I had a 90-minute massage, which was lovely! Additionally, I did lose 0.5 pounds and I'll take it! A lose is a lose! Overall, I have lost 8 pounds thus far for this month! So, I'm so not going to complain!

Today, I have a date who wants to go to lunch/dinner after a movie! I will end up getting a salad with a vinaigrette dressing. My goal is to have a plan even before I go to lunch/dinner with the guy! Again, I have to remember to plan my day because I believe the statement "Fail to Plan, Plan to Fail". This may not be true for anyone, but this is so true for me!

So, I will thank God for another day and hopefully another week for tomorrow is not promised to anyone! I'm off tomorrow, so, I will get my workout done earlier! This upcoming week is my last full week for my detox and I'm going to press in to do what I need to do! I'm committed to my health & fitness! I'm going to do it! Like what's on my Spark Tracker, no one can do this for me, but me! So, I'm going to do it!

I may not have any personal cheerleaders, but I am my own cheerleader! Stevie, You Can Get Healthy & Fit! So, Do It Girlfriend Because You Can!
