Forward, back forward again

One of these days I will get it all together. Progress has been slow by the scale but if I measure progress in other ways I am getting there. I am moving more, got 3 days of exercise in this week, I am eating more fruits and vegetables, becoming more aware of how I use food as a drug to try to cure all sorts of emotions but that does not work. I took a very bad fall on the ice yesterday and now certain movements are not doable with my right arm, so the the plan for strength training today will have to wait. Even though it is -28C out there, I can still go the walking track and walk today. I feel so much better after doing it, so doing it is something I am aiming to continue to do. I received some very good advice this week regarding changing my lifestyle. Concentrate on today, do what I can today. Do what I can today, plan in order to make tomorrow easier but remember being flexible does not mean you lose sight of what you want to accomplish today. I am also aiming to becoming more active on spark, and blogging one a week. If I blog more great, if not once a week is good!

    Every step you take towards your goal counts. Every. Little. Step. I like your newfound attitude about non scale victories (NSV's) - and encourage you to focus on them. It's a lifestyle and your heart and brain need time to sync up with each other while you're on this learning curve.

    Sometimes I lose weight, sometimes I lose inches, sometimes it's a breakthrough regarding emotional eating - it's all good and it all counts!
