Biggest Loser -Carbatarian

Sunday, January 20, 2013

Hey, I'll take inspiration any way I can get it. While the idea of going toward a plant based diet for my health is the goal. Hearing the word carbatarian sparked some thoughts and is getting me to be more aware and mindful of my choices. And yes I have been slipping toward more carbs... and yes I am addicted to carbs.

That said last night's dinner was something I created.
Black beans
Fire-roasted tomatoes
Kale chopped
Spaghetti squash

Seasoned with Italian spices, fresh garlic and nutritional yeast. Hubby ended up so full he could not finish his bowl. Wow! It was yummy and filling.

I guess I need more practice on plant based eating... I do not want to be known as a Carbatarian.

Your dish sounds wonderful. There are carbatarians, and I know a couple of junkfoodatarians who don't eat meat but also don't seem to eat vegetables, good fiber or legumes either. I guess it is all about balance know matter which plan we choose to follow; no extremes.

I try to remind myself that lifelong habits won't be broken in a few years. Maybe for some, but not for me. Takes patience and
practice. You are doing great.
