Paleo Week 3

131.0 lbs

I'm actually up a little weight from last week but I got 2 weight loss compliments yesterday and my pants are fitting me better. That made me feel good enough to try on my swimsuits for vacation (we leave in 4 days.) and to my delight my suit fit even better than last summer when I weighed 128. That made me quite happy!

Another tell tale sign that I'm on the right track...On Friday I wore a fitted sleeveless top to my PT workout and for the first time I could really see the difference in my upper body shape. My waist is much trimmer and my arms are becoming so much more defined. My legs and butt are always last to loose the fat but even that area is so much more toned that I am starting to see a little bit of a difference there too.

The Paleo meals are still going great. I continue to feel energetic and I also feel stronger and more alive. We ordered out gluten free pizza on Thursday as a treat. The pizza noticeably slowed down my digestive system. Then on Friday I drank 2 beers with dinner and that not only made me feel yucky but pushed everything out of my digestive tract. YUCK! The good news...I've completely lost my alcohol cravings. Thank you fresh juices & smoothies!!

Over the past 2 weeks I've also added 20 and then 25 minute cardio intervals 2x's per wk to my routine. This week I plan to take it up to 30 min. Our resort has a nice gym too and I will be using it on this vacation.

My vacation eating plan is:

Keep the alcohol consumption on the low side.
Stick to the Paleo diet as much as possible. (Being gluten free already limits my grain choices while eating out and the kitchen in the apartment will help control breakfast and lunch meals.)
Paleo breakfast in the room.
Salad w/protein 1x per day.
Meals at the restaurants ask for; double veggies instead of grains, dressing on the side and avoid dairy as often as possible.

One thing I know for certain, I'm sure am going to miss my juicer and Vitamix while I'm on vacation. I LOVE having smoothies and fresh juices everyday. I'm tempted to buy a magic bullet while we're down there. LOL!

This will be my last blog entry until February when I get back.
