I kept coming across articles about this "new" diet. I will be the first one to tell you that I don't believe in "diets". I believe in baby steps, making good food choices, drinking water, moving my body when possible. Diets don't work and they don't fix the reason we are heavy. With that being said, I couldn't help but be drawn to what the author of this diet was saying. The basic point is to eat whatever you want, within an 8 hour time frame. That leaves you "fasting" for 16 hours. The foods you eat during the 8 hours need to be accompanied by the 8 "power foods" which include nuts, beans, veggies, fruits, ect. I have been on Spark for over 2 years. I eat healthy, am a vegetarian, never eat processed foods and 90% of the time, I make good choices. However, I have never been heavier. I didn't even weigh this much when I was 9 months pregnant! So, I am going to give this "diet" a try. I am willing to shake things up and see if I can figure out what I have been missing. By eating the "power foods" (which I already do) and keeping within the 8 hour time frame, I am hoping to start making some progress.
