This has thoroughly convinced me. I am glad I started this and I shall continue. The joy is not having to follow any specific diet except eating healthy, fresh foods across the nutritional board and fasting two days a week. I have no desire to eat junk food on Feed Days, but if I do for whatever reason, I do not need to feel guilty. Fasting definitely works to not only make me thinner but apparently it will also help my body resist age-related diseases. according to on going scientific studies. No pills, no diets, just two days of fasting a week.

Hunger is not something I have allowed myself to feel for too long, but somehow I can wait most days until noon to eat. Fasting for two days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) eating 500 calories is do-able for me and since it doesn't seem to matter what meal you eat on the Fast Day, I will experiment.

For the rest of the week I eat between 2000 and 2300 calories a day and that brings me within the losing target of 12,000 calories a week. This should result in a 1 kg loss per week for me at the weight I am now. Half a kilo is fine too and I shall be monitoring it closely. So far this month I have lost four and a half kilos and I have a feeling there will be more before the month is through.

From what I have seen, read and heard, and now from my own experience, fasting rocks!

My husband is on his 14th day of a water only fast, his fat is almost gone, he has tons of energy, is very clear headed, very calm, has not had indigestion, his fat tumors are dimishing, he muscles are still very strong and he speed walks 4 miles a day. His intention is too break his fast at day 20 or 21.

I am personally waiting to see what happens afterwards, but he will do 4 days of recovery - slowly adding food back and then will go on an organic veggie, fruit and meat with only some whole grain carbs.

He is totally sold, I am waiting to see how fast or much he gains afterwards.

He can even cook and sit with us when we eat and not want food.

He was going to do 30 days but he doesn't have enough body fat to do that.

He is not dizzy or weak. We both began with a fruit only week and Oxypowder intestinal cleanse and then I started counting food and he stopped eating. I have lost a total of 5 lbs and he has lost over 30.

What a great video! Thanks for sharing! I find myself more interested in the brain cell research (who knew?) than the longevity research (which I was more familiar with), but truly a great find! I'm definitely going to look into this!

Have a look at the documentary and see the different types of fasting Mosely tried. The one he chose in the end was the 5/2 diet. Choose two days a week to fast and only eat 500 calories on those days. For the other days you should eat normally - choose healthy foods and do not overeat.

It seems intense. I,ve heard of fasting before, Mercola won't shut about it. but like, skipping breakfast.. not an entire day?

My dad use to fast in the past. However from that i know you have to start slowly - like 1 day a week. After few months you can increase to 2 days. I remember seeing my dad after 1 week of fasting ( i haven't seen him whole week as i was studying in different town). He did look great. Not only he lost lots of weight but he looked 10 years younger!
