Recap: 5 Days of Vain and Shallow Goals

I did it, a whole work week of hair and make-up.
Thanks to all who commented (and complimented) on my mini-series.
I'm glad it inspired some of you ladies to pay a little more attention to yourselves.
It really helped to have something else to focus on, but tomorrow I reignite my romance with the gym.
I'll be resetting my fitness goals (I set them for 0 this week), which will automatically adjust my calorie ranges.
I trust SparkPeople to handle my numbers.

On a side note: My sister said I lost too much weight because I've lost my butt.

I've mentioned before, my jeans fit loose and aren't so flattering, but for her to say I've lost too much weight scared me. emoticon
She's known me all our lives!
I've been thinner (in high school) and she never said I was too thin!
I'm not sure what to make of her comment.
But it keeps repeating over and over in my mind. emoticon

    I've had people say the most horrible things at my goal weight.

    "are you sick?'
    "do you feel ok?"
    "you look sickly"
    "you need to gain 10lbs"

    I got a nice boost Sunday when my partner told one of her coworkers, who had just seen me, the comments and he said...she's hot. LOL..not sure about that but I'll take it!

    Sister's words always gouge the deepest, especially regarding our looks. If you are happy with your weight and feeling strong and healthy, then ignore your sister's negativity. Instead, celebrate your weight loss success by buying yourself some new jeans that fit to flaunt and get out there and show off the new you! You are doing great and you're a success!

    Very inspiring and reminder
    I would check your BMI then maybe your right on target and if so then maybe butt exercises for fun and add some extra good fats to your diet and a little whole wheat pasta

    I missed a couple of your blogs during my depression but am glad to hear that you focused on yourself with these goals for 5 straight days and it helped you get through waiting til you could get back to the gym, etc.

    I wouldn't worry about the comment made by your sister. If you continue you workouts, you body will adjust and from its weight loss and everything will porportion accordingly. Just give it some time.

    Great job this week with getting your goal done :) okay too much weight huh? What does it say when you check on the BMI scale are you in a healthy range? Do you feel good? I always take these comments with not much thought sometimes friends,family, coworkers or whatever get a little envious of your progress and accomplishments. So they let little doubts slip in there just to try to derail you or make themselves feel justified for their habits and weight. Do what feels right for you if you are doing it in a healthful way. I think you look amazing!

    I would take the sisters words as compliment. Glad you kept yourself focus on your beauty, while you could not work out. And yes, you've give us a chance to look back our beauty as well. Thank you for that. I am so glad to know, you can go back to gym. Enjoy!!
