I gave myself a goal to make a blog entry at least once every 5 days. More if I suddenly have something to say. Today I'm down 5 pounds in a little over 2 weeks. I know this will slow down as time goes by, but I'm happy with how this is going right now
I'm also behind on my food intake for the day. Still time to have another meal/snack to reach my minimum though. It's actually easier to meet the middle of my calorie range when I'm working. Not sure why that is but on weekends I get off track. Not in a bad way but just don't eat enough most of the time.
I've allowed myself to technically have Saturday off, like a day to satisfy my mental needs with food. Not to say I go crazy with what I eat but to keep me sane, I do not worry about going over. Do not look at it like a failed day or a disaster in the making. I just realize I'm going to mess up but if I'm in control of when it happens, it won't upset me.
Now on that note, I actually went over on Thursday. Had to have pizza for some reason, so I did. To keep it from being a total wipe out, I bought it from Papa Murphy's and got the garlic chicken on their super thin crust. Yes, I checked the calories - but after I had eaten it. No, it wasn't pretty either. But I didn't beat myself up about it. I still had my snack before bed so I wouldn't sleep eat as I am known to do sometimes.
So all in all, I guess it's been a pretty good week. Except for my daughter getting the flu. She started feeling bad on Thursday night, saw the doctor on Friday and had it confirmed. Now the entire house (except for the cats) are on Tamiflu for 5 days. We all got flu shots in October, and she is usually the healthiest of us all but this is the second time in 3 years she's manage to catch it. And we haven't. Oh well, we all have something we do differently than the rest of the family.
