Who Needs a Bus?

Well, so the bus I take to the gym here while visiting my friend has a wonky schedule. I didn't think I would be able to go to the gym, and would just go for a long walk today. So, I just started walking. Guess where I wound up? yeP, the gym. LOL. It turns out it is 2.5 miles to the gym and back. That is totally doable. Maybe not on the days I do Body Combat AND Body Pump, I think I would be whimpering by the time I got home, but if it is just a Zumba or Body Pump day at the gym, I might just walk up and back. How great will that be. I will get some vitamin D, and get some fresh air and then also get my gym on. I think that will work out very pleasantly!

This weekend is going to be a little crazy when it comes to culinary concoctions. First is Kathy's son's 18th birthday. We are going to California Pizza Kitchen where everything you put in your mouth is laden with fat/calories and sodium. I am going to get one of the lesser of the evils there the jerk chicken thin crust pizza. It is a heck of a lot better than what I usually would have gotten, and I probably would have eaten a gimormous lunch on top of it. And then of course there is going to be cake. The same cake that got me totally off track on Amber's 1st birthday. Chocolate and Bavarian Cream. This is a heavenly cake. But, THIS time *I* am going to serve myself the cake instead of letting KDH (Kathy's dear husband), serve it. He is a LOVELY man, but has no idea what a "serving size" or "portion control" is. He gave me a piece of cake the size of the 1 year olds head last time. :P I want a TASTE not half the cake ha!

Then tomorrow is "Second Christmas". Because I was not able to come down for Christmas proper we are doing present exchange and having another Christmas dinner. BBQ turkey and all the trimmings. That shouldn't be too bad. Just a little of this and a little of that. But, I will just have be EXTREMELY on track next week. I think it shouldn't be too bad as I was very aware of everything I ate all last week knowing that these two days were coming up. :) All I know is my "too tight" size 13 pants are having an issue on staying on my body so I have a feeling I am into those size 12's. Hmm, the gym I go to is at a mall. I might have to slip a pair of 12's on and see now won't I?

    Congrats on the walk! I love a good walk for the physical and mental aspects. You have lots of temptations coming up but it looks like you have a good plan for navigating what's to come. All the best!! :)

    13 is generally a junior's size which runs smaller than a "misses" size... so if your 13's are loose, 12's will probably be loose too. :) I bet you would fit a 10 in misses! I always thought that was weird, but a size 13 is often "smaller" than a 12 because it is made to fit a relatively less curvy young girl. Sizing is a bear! I say just try things on until they fit and make you look fabulous and don't stress the number too much. It's a guideline anyway - as long as it's going down, woohoo for you!
