New Year's was a couple weeks ago. Already, the gym is a little less crowded. Resolutions don't have enough... resolve for many people. I have to admit, I'm happy that I'm not getting bumped from my favorite classes and don't have to wait on queue for equipment. But I am a bit sad for those who pin their motivation on a date in on the calendar and then lose their way so quickly.
I can't tell you how many times I've started and stopped my journey. How many different diets, programs, pills, suppliments I've tried. I started on SP 3 years ago, and even here, my plan has changed several times.
But there is one thing that has not changed. I have NOT given up.
This picture was broadcast around the interwebs today. It is such a great visual.
So you (and by 'you' I also mean 'I') had a "bad day", or even a "bad week". That's it.
YOU can stop the bad.
You CAN stop the bad.
You can STOP the bad.
You can stop the BAD.
This picture came from the MotiveWeight blog. They have tons of great motivational pictures, videos, and links to other info that will make you think. Stop by and visit if you're looking for an extra push. I just found them and anticipate dropping by often.
Here's what to do if you've been 'bad':
*Get over it.
*Dust yourself off.
*Look yourself in the mirror and repeat after me:
"I am worthy of being healthy. I am worthy of my time. I CAN DO THIS!"
and above all else...
DON'T GIVE UP!!!!!
Re-evaluate your plan.
Re-invigorate your workout.
Re-establish your footing.
