Reviewing the ups and downs of the week

Getting things done today - budgeting, preparing healthy food for the week for lunches, getting housework done, packed up all the Christmas things. Its only been three weeks since Christmas, and it seems like three months!
Got a surprise yesterday. Sent Mickey and Minnie to the vet to get fixed, and discovered Minnie is a boy!
The vet said this happens so often with cats, and giggled and said "I guess I didn't do quite a thorough exam last month!" I've decided to change Minnie's name to Bilbo. He seems very happy with that name and jumped up into my lap as soon as I said it.
This week's goal is to get the house prepared and tidied up before I leave to spend time with daughter and new grand baby
Since the kitties are such houligans, I'm going to box up a lot of the things on the counters so they can't knock them off.
Last week I started off great, tracking and doing well, then I had some major binges with sweets. Oy. Culminating in last night going out for a birthday dinner for a friend and ordering a piece of over the top chocolate pie from Village Inn. But you know what? Today my sweet tooth is completely obliterated. Maybe I need to give myself permission to have that big indulgence now and then, instead of fighting it all week and giving in with small treats throughout the day that do more damage.
I need a battle plan to stay out of the candy dish at work. It's really a problem. One day I had brought a carrot and that worked great. Was even eating it in front of another coworker who had succumbed to the candy dish and said "I wish I had a carrot." Alas, the next day that carrot stayed in my desk drawer and I was in the dish again.
The candy dish is located not very far from my office. Come afternoon when the stresses of the day are weighing on my mind, the temptation becomes too much. I need to set myself up for success and plan ahead, get some powerful mantras in my head to do battle on the inner temptations. Maybe get some gum to chew on.
Onward and forward.
