Just a thought...

Saturday, January 19, 2013

"Most adults will do anything to avoid going to a party where they don't know anyone. But for some reason we may be impatient with the young child who hesitates on the first day of school, or who recoils from the commotion of a birthday party where there are no familiar faces."

~Cathy Rindner Tempelsman

I try to get to know one new person each day I work. It is a fun and it helps when you are interviewing for a new job

It is critical to encourage social skills, especially now when everyone is texting on the phone and internet. You are never lonely when you can go somewhere and never fell like a stranger. I am a traveling therapist and I see people all the time that I do not know, but it just takes me a few minutes to get to know someone.

If we can respond to blogs with people we do not know we can go out in the world and be social! emoticon

We always want to encourage are children to do things, even things we would hesitate to do. I guess we don't want to hold them back from making friends or missing out on something we think they may enjoy. I guess it is the parent in us. Fun quote makes you stop and think. Have a great evening.
