What Are You Doing?

Saturday, January 19, 2013

I wonder how many opportunities we miss just because we don't listen to God. We need to have ears to hear and eyes to see. We can tune ourselves in to His frequency and we will see so much more and hear what others miss. My mentor says that when you enter a building or a situation, ask God, "What are you doing? What do you want to do in this situation?" If we are a Christian, then wherever we go, God should go with us. It isn't something we work up. That isn't to say that if we will spend more time in His Presence we won't look and sound more like Him. It is never our goodness that brings God on the scene; that becomes self righteousness and not God centered. God will work wherever He takes us if we just allow Him to use us. He wants us to partner with Him. There is just something special about hearing from another human being what God thinks of us. Sometimes we need that personal touch to get us through and God knows that. It is exciting to know you have partnered with Him in something. So let us be more sensitive to what He is doing and then get along side it. Ask for dreams and visions. Ask to see what He sees. Look at life from His perspective not an earthly one. Let us be heavenly minded and focused in everything we do. And let us not forget to thank Him even when it doesn't look like He is near. Let us step beyond the familiar and experience all that God has for us.
