I am feeling GOOD!
I lost some more weight - just a bit more than I had planned too - but slowly does it was the plan. Lost 1.2 kilos since the first of Jan but feeling much happier.
I love the SparkCoach as it's very inspirational and motivational and makes me think about how I can take small steps to change my life around a bit more.
So my big goal is to lose 14 kilos this year and the reason I want to do it slowly is because I dow ant to make it a life style change and not just a quick diet that can yoyo back up again once I fall back into my old ways.
What I am proud of since I began just a few weeks ago is that I have stayed very active, each day I am either swimming, lunch walking and/or gardening and I am loving it.
Orange Man isn't exercising with me - apart from a weekly swim - but that's cool as he isn't into exercise but he is cooking up some healthy meals and benefiting from that as well. We are doing things like eating low fat icecream, adding more veges, eating leaner meat - we already cooked quite healthy but we used to get a bit too much cheese and cream and the bad fats and now we are turning that around.
What I'd like to concentrate on are:
- setting a smart goal of loosing 1.5kilo a month to meet my big goal next January.
- cooking 1 health vegetarian meal on weekdays (Orange Man does most of our cooking, I only cook on Sunday, like today I am making Jamie Oliver's golden chicken with braised greens and potato gratin (160 cal, 26.7 fat, 8.0 sat fat, 11.1 sugar) admittedly high on fat but having a very lean and healthy day incorporating a swim so I think we are just going to enjoy it.
- joining a perimenopausal group or group of women experiencing hot flushes as I am, after I have finished the stress busting challenge next week/
Does anyone have any ideas about weightloss and menopause. Would love to hear how you can influence a smoother ride by eating certain foods?
