It's Calling Me!

Saturday, January 19, 2013

I am feeling the need to blog. It seems to call my name if I've been neglectful or busy. :)
Yesterday my youngest turned 8. My baby is getting big. No more booster seat! emoticon I just feel like I'm going to turn around and they'll be graduating high school! It goes by so fast!
We let him have a sleep over last night. There was our 2 boys plus 3 more. One was way crazy and made us thankful for our boys and appreciate them a lot more. lol! If you think your kids are misbehaving way too much then invite a crazy friend over and you'll feel a lot better. lol!
That one has gone home and the dynamic has toned down so much. It's crazy how that is. There are 4 boys here but it is so much calmer than it was 30 minutes ago with just one more.
Aah! Now I can breath and enjoy my coffee. :)
I have still been working on the team I started. I'm excited about it and look forward to watching it grow. There are so many things that I like from this and that team that I belong to, I hope to incorporate a lot of things all into one. Along with a lot of the things I've learned and found over the past year that have helped me or others. I still plan on being a part of other teams. Especially my Bahama Mamas. :)
I ate WAY too much popcorn yesterday. I made a big pot of it and then ended up munching on it all day. I didn't eat much of anything else and so I ended up with major stomach cramping last night. I definitely learned my lesson on WAY over doing it on popcorn. It's a little too rough on the system. lol!
Today I have to make cake pops and then tomorrow is the family birthday lunch for Joey. I'm glad we decided to have a day in between to just chill out a bit except for the cake pops.
I hope everybody has a great weekend!!!

Oh Sara, they do grow up too fast. The bright side is that I then gained a wonderful son-in-law, two absolutely adorable twin grandsons, a talented son who is finally employed and possibly a future daughter-in-law??? and a bright young lady about to graduate from college and start her own bright future! Enjoy them while they are young, and always welcome their friends to your home. I still hear from many of my children's friends that they always knew they were welcome in our home and could always count on us to be there! Such a wonderful thing to hear!

Enjoy them while they are there, mine are grown with families of their own and while I see them often it isn't the same.
Your popcorn feast is probably something we all have done.

My youngest turns 6 in a couple weeks, it does go way to fast! You are so brave with a sleepover, haven't tried that one yet! Having 2 boys I don't get the request really, but I remember always having sleep overs as a kid!

I run a banquet room planning parties and all my graduation parties tell me "before you know it you will be here planning a party for your kids graduation" I have actually cried at their memorabilia tables. LOL.

Sara you've done an amazing job on your team. I feel so lucky to be a part of it! I'm glad you're not going to leave our Bahama Mamas behind. Most of us have followed you over to your team anyway, so you CAN'T get rid of us. emoticon Congratulations on celebrating another birthday. Your boys are so handsome. Life does pass so quickly. You're so wise to slow down and enjoy it. Yesterday, my Godson sent me a picture of his beautiful brand new daughter, Ryan Elizabeth. It feels like yesterday when I was holding him in my arms, and now he has two children of his own. Crazy!

Do enjoy the sleep overs! I have three girls, so I don't understand the dynamics of boys, but I have an inkling from my Aunt who has 5 grandsons under the age of 7!! THey are a tribe unto themselves when we gather to celebrate

My daughters are 17, 14 and 13 and on any given weekend, I have 2-8 additional bodies flopped out in my living room floor!

I LOVE it as i would rather my kids (and other kids!) be with me than at other people's homes! I encourage them to invite friends over and I make sure one and all are fed healthy fruits and veggies and have lots to do!

Oh, and I totally understand about the popcorn! I've had the same problem recently!!

Aw, sleepovers for the kids brings back lots of memories. Do try to enjoy it - even all the craziness. Yes, they grow up WAY too fast. Seems like my kids were just in grammar school yesterday and they are parents now themselves.

Blessings, Pat
