"It's Just What I Do Now"

Every day for the rest of my life............

This is my 2 rule plan:

1) Eat “healthy” foods of choice when hungry until comfortably full.
(Healthy foods defined as vegetables, fruit, lean protein, whole grains, beans,
healthy fats in most natural state as possible).


2) Exercise at least 1 ˝ hours per day. Include at least 1 hour of activity or the
equivalent of 4 miles of walking. Include some form of strength training 3 X
week of total body. Include total body stretching daily.

What to do when not eating or exercising:
Complete freedom to live my life as I chose to live it, according to my values and what brings me happiness and pleasure.

    Great! This is very helpful for me because I've been thinking a lot about my plans for maintenance aka living, which are what your plans are exactly -- living a healthy, active, rich, and full life -- expressed in very clear, down-to-earth, and easy to carry out terms.

    See, you have this all figured out already! You just do you, just in moderation with the food. And the exercise, as much as I HATE to admit it, will make you feel better overall. Even if you are just walking a mile INSIDE your own house!

    I broke my leg last July and made myself put on my pedometer and get up and walk that walker all over the insde of this house over and over again until I hit a mile on that pedometer. And I lost weight!

    I don't do structured exercise 11/2 hours a day, but I do stay active.
