We lost our "granddog" today. This beautiful girl had worked her way into our hearts like none before her. Just 5 1/2 yrs old is way too short a life. I hope she is playing in puppy heaven. I feel so bad for my daughter and her husband but know time will help us all.

I wanted to update my blog to let you know that my daughter and her hubby were given an 8 week old doberman puppy that a relative was unable to keep. A bit soon, they thought, but it has helped with their grief. I have not met Dot yet but am anxious to. THANKS so much for your support.

I'm so sorry for your loss. That is way to young to lose a special canine family member. My dog is 8 and a large breed, so I know we won't have an excessive amount of time together, and it scares me sometimes because I know the pain of losing her will be huge. Hopefully, in time wonderful memories will dull the pain.
