Weekly Blog Update-30 Day Shred Lvl 1 Complete!!

Yay!!! I've finished level 1 of the 30 day shred!!!

Ok, so I'll be the first to admit that my resolution to continuously follow the 30DS has hit a few snags. My first reaction to realizing that I took 3 rest days off was disappointment. Why didn't I "push through" my cold symptoms? Why didn't I carve-out the time to workout a mere 30 minutes per day?

Then I started thinking, what if I really needed those rest days? After five continuous workouts, I hit a wall; my clod symptoms were dragging me down. I really feel that I needed that rest day. One shred session later, I still felt that my cold was holding me back and needed another rest....

The third day, however, was just me choosing to take a day off. I didn't need it, but after being out of action 2 days it was just too easy to take more time off. I let myself down that 3rd day, but I didn't continue the slump. I got back to work and today have finished lvl 1. I didn't get lost in negativity.

Things definitely didn't go as smooth as I would like, but I'm going to use this experience as a stepping stone and adjust my goals. Originally, I wanted to finish 30 days of shredding. While I wasn't able to complete lvl 1 continuously, it's my goal to complete 10 days of lvl 2 without stopping and I know that I can do it!
