Day 96-Where did the day go??
Friday, January 18, 2013
I woke up this morning, knowing that I had a lot to do to prepare for the weekends activities. Today was also gym day, but I could fit it all in right??
The day started off like every other Friday, I got up and made Tami and I a healthy omelette for breakfast, then we got the kids off to school and headed for the gym. Typically, Friday is my push it farther day, today was not to be. Since Wednesday was our monthly shopping day, we cut our workout a little short that day, choosing not to do the recumbent bike. My friends, take not of my lesson learned today. Once you have a routine, stick to it as close to the letter as possible, because I PAID for my decision. Did all our strength training and the elliptical, no problem. Then we went to the recumbent.... ya'll IT HURT! I had to STOP at 4 miles because my legs were cramping so bad. That left me 15 minutes short on my workout, what was I gonna do??? I decided I HAD to finish my workout somehow, so we went to the treadmill and walked for 15 minutes. I now remember why I don't like the treadmill. It feels so unnatural to walk on compared to walking stores or sidewalks, It was very awkward! Anyway, we finished and headed home.
After shower, we had to go to the store for a few items. We are entertaining Tami's cousin tonight for cards and I had plans to make homemade pita chips, guacamole and pico de gallo.... I forgot one thing..... I had a Doctor appointment at 2:15... Well, Tami ended up doing all the veggie chopping while I was gone and she baked the pita chips. What a blessing I have in my wife!! She compliments and completes me in every way!! I got home from the dr and put all the ingredients together for the guacamole and the pico. We sat down for a few, then it was time to make dinner and company will be here soon. Our daughter is also having a friend over for a sleepover, busy house tonight.
Tomorrow is ministry in the morning, then Tami has to take Cassie's friend home and then take the kids to grandma's for the night.... a night alone!! oh wait..... I have plans already for tomorrow night. I have been invited to have a night with some of the brothers to play cards. I feel like a heel now because I won't be here with the kids gone. I will be taking homemade guacamole and pico de gallo with me for the guys. Hopefully, we will get another chance for a date night soon to make up for it. Sunday is congregation meeting and football!
So, as you can see, the day blurred by and the weekend will too. Have a great night!!
