I promised myself in the beginning of the new year that I would throw in some new exercises into my exercise routine. I took my first cycle class today. I hated it and loved it at the very same time. It was intense. I usually do 120 minutes of exercise a day. After 60 minutes of spinning (cycle), I was DONE! I definitely feel like I got a good workout. I could not stand for very long. Okay, I really couldn't stand at all, but I upped the resistance to make up for it as the instructor told us to do. Spinning really got my blood pumping I will do it again. Probably Wednesday. I need a gel seat cushion though. oh my!!!! My booty is going to feel THAT in the morning! I was absolutely drenched in sweat.
I really like that I am adding new and different work outs. It really is keeping me motivated and not bored. But, yea, I need to remember this when I can't walk in the morning.
This weekend I can not go to the gym because the bus doesn't run when the classes are on and I only like the classes at this gym. I guess I get some walking in! I guess that is a way of cross-training too right? And with the two big workouts I have had I might need a day of recovery (or 3) with just walking and maybe some SP videos. :)
