New Year, New Start

I've had very low energy for the last three months. I'm now trying to pull myself out of the darkness of December into the light, bright hope of a new year. I tend to have two bad days for every good day. I hope to make EVERY day a good day this year.

Yesterday I started out by taking a shower and then a walk. This is HUGE for me. These two things started a snowballing of good energy and I did laundry, cooked and actually did dishes! The only bad thing yesterday is that my boyfriend's insomnia kept me up, too, and I didn't get to sleep until 6 AM and then he woke me up at 11 AM. I hope that if I can stay up today without taking a nap then I can go to sleep at a reasonable hour, say, 2 AM. We have leftovers from last night so I don't have to cook.

    Congratulations on getting yourself motivated and moving in the right direction! Just take it slowly, with those baby steps and you will find that you have made giant leaps on down the road. Keep up the positive self talk. Like CUpton says you can't have negative thoughts when you're thinking good things instead. Keep blogging.     Think positive thoughts. When those negative tapes go round and round, If you have any other thought in your head, the negative thought ca't be there at the same time. Sometimes I just say the alphabet over and over or count backwards from 1000, whatever.
