a long week

Friday, January 18, 2013

Its been a really long week, this week but at last its the weekend and for once I don't have a house to spring clean!!!! I started the long list of homes to be done way back before Christmas and still have many on my waiting list, but this weekend I have taken a Saturday off. So what have I been up to this week, well to tell you the truth, not a lot apart from working, I didn't manage as much exercise as I would have liked but I have tried to do my 10,000 steps a day and drink my eight glasses of water and at least five fruit or vegies a day even if I have not managed to track them, I also managed to do my Wii fit 30min run and reached my goal of 11km which really made me happy when I first got my Wii fit I could only do 4km in 30mins so I have literally come a long way since then!!
Also I saw a friend today whom I've not seen since October, and we have decided that we will take part in the 5km run this spring in Stornoway and raise sponsor money for cancer research UK - I have never taken part in something like this before, I have merger been capable of doing anything like this before. My only other news is that its now less than two weeks before my part time classes in philosophy start.... I will keep you posted.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Hi Sarah, I remember reading this blog last week and could have sworn I wrote a comment but I don't see it here ???? Sometimes I forget to click the "post" button and lose the whole thing !!!!

I have to agree with Carol, it sounds like you had a busy week to me too, but alas another week as passed since so I hope you are doing well and finding this journey to a heallthier lifestyle getting easier. But just like life itself it has it's ups and downs. Best of luck to you in your prep for the 5K and raising funds for such a good cause. Keep us posted.

Thanks for your comments folks, with the name McLeod, you'd have to have some connection with Stornoway, I've loads of local pictures on my page, and the Wii fit has loads of fun stuff, I like putting my music on loud and I just go for a run, the weather here really isn't good for running out of doors at this time of the year, 55mph winds at the moment with a -6 wind chill!!!! Also I live about a 90mile round trip from the nearest town so the gym isn't really a good choice for me.

That sounds like a pretty good week. Congrats on deciding on doing a 5K for charity. My grandfather (I never knew him, he died when my dad was 5 yrs old) was originally from Stornoway. I hope to visit there someday.

There is a running program on Wii Fit? That is it. I need a wii. That sounds really fun. I think it will be good for when I get into maintenance mode and don't want to go to the gym every SINGLE day. But, I can still get some movement in.

Hey it sounds like even though you had a busy day at work, you were still able to do well on your program. Way to go.
