Well, Wednesday I signed up for my first 5K walk/run!!! I am only going to walk this one...But, it's a start! This one is put on by Kids in Motion and Hannibal Parks and Recreation! All proceeds go to Kids in Motion. I will be doing this with my best friend, her husband, and my husband. This is also her first 5K too. It will be held in one of our local parks. My only issue is the terrain is hilly. I know that if I keep going to the YMCA working up to this event I will be just fine. I am hoping the weather will be warm since it will take place Feb 9th!
Here is my "training" plan. Walk on treadmill for at least 1 mile at a time. However, I have been doing intervals of different inclines. The hardest incline I have done so far is 6! I am going to try and go for 1.5 miles this week with little to no intervals of incline.
