How do you know your doing ok if the SCALE is broken?

The Spark Coach action plan today was to blog about how I would know if I was healthy, if I couldn't step on the scale. I cant step on the scale for the next couple of months because I donted my scale to the work's biggest loser contest. I can step on it at work but that isnt the same as naked fresh from the shower. SO, how do I know if I have had a healthy day?

The biggest indicator of health is my fasting blood sugar. Before I went off insulin, it was always under a 100. I choose to go off insulin, because it's easier to loss wieght without insulin and the healthiest thing I can do for my diabetes is loss the wieght. My goal is 150 -100. But I haven't been checking it regularly, I dont know what or how high it was been. Yesterday, it was 175. Today, 198. I need to not eat bread and bananas right before bed.

Second, is my trackers. I log everything I eat, and get the total calories and the nutrient breakdown. Sparkpeople reports tell me everything I need to know. I log my steps into the day, and look for a calorie differential. To lose my wieght, I look for a 1,000 calorie differential. The Sparkteam By the Numbers helps with keeping my numbers tracked and accountable.

third is my fitbit. Not just the goal of walking 10,000 steps a day but the hours of sleep at night. I know I have had a healthy day when I have high steps and at least 8 hours of sleep.

and all of that works together, for the biggest indicator, my energy level and mood. When I take my meds, do my steps, follow the eating plan, and follow my day routine, I am much more level headed, calm and happy. I have the joy that makes me want to run zoomies on the beach.
