I broke down....

Friday, January 18, 2013

And had a glass of liquid calories. ....... emoticon well a 12 ounce can.

Between the sugar screaming at me and my stomach getting upset cause of my vitamins I had to do something. I knew that just eating a piece of fruit would not work. (and a little worried that that might come back up.)

Since having the flu when I take my vitamins in the morning I get sick. I'm not sure why. At first I thought it was a new one that was causing the problems, so I stop taking it. So then I thought maybe it cause I'm not eating enough. So I added a little bit more of my banana mixed fruit oatmeal .... cobbler (it's kind like a cobbler). And well I'm still getting sick. And having bananas and soda in the same day does not make my gall bladder happy. But it will be ok, I'm having veggies for lunch and supper.

So tomorrow I'm going to try taking the vitamins with lunch and see what that does. I have issues taking pills with out enough food on my stomach or in my system, always have. And I get to de caffeine myself tomorrow ...., yay. Just when I was just getting rid of the caffeine headache.

Ok I'm done complaining, I guess I needed to vent. Thank you for listening.

I found this on Pininterest. But I change it a bit. I used 2 cups oatmeal, 1 cup self rising flour, 1 and 1/2 bags of frozen mixed berries, 3 bananas, 1 tablespoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon nutmeg, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1/2 cup honey, 2 eggs, 3 tablespoons butter, a couple hand fulls of almonds (that I put in my coffee grinder) and a cup of milk. Of course I had to use a 9 x 13 baking dish. But I did follow the directions. emoticon

Hi Becky! My vitamins also make my stomach upset. I read somewhere (I can't remember where) to leave them on your nightstand and take them as you are laying down to sleep. I've been doing that ever since, and never get queasy now. Try it- maybe it will help! Have a great day.

My stomach doesn't like most any kind of pill without something substantial with it either. I hope taking the vitamins at lunch helps.

Don't beat yourself up over the soda. Remember, we're trying to go for moderation in all things. While soda won't ever be on the "healthy" list, there are plenty of splurges that would have been a LOT worse. You are probably still able to track the soda and still have calories for a healthy dinner, right?

I'm sorry about your tummy troubles. Iron is notorious for upsetting stomachs. Is it possible that is the cause? I hope taking your vitamins at lunch makes a difference.

    Hi Becky,

Sorry to hear that your stomach is so upset. Did you take any antibiotics for the flu? When you do, it usually interferes with the good bacteria and the flora in your gut. In that case it is good to take some probiotics to help restore your intestinal system to normal. Hope your back to normal soon.

Wow that sounds like a great recipe for oatmeal and I love blueberries! emoticon (Close enough, I love strawberries too!)

P.S. Soda is terrible for you, you should try to stay away from it. emoticon
