This is my New Year's breakfast addiction!
Filling and flavorful - and gives me the fruit and protein starter for the day.
When I don't eat a decent breakfast my eating day consists of carbs carbs and more carbs. Mostly in the form of bagels, toast, muffins and donuts topped off with a gallon of caffeine.
Then next day I bloat up like a balloon and get mad at myself!
Today I've had eggs and a half strip of bacon so far. I did my strength workout already and I know I need to eat a little more. I'm trying to avoid the carb binge while I'm still feeling all self-righteous at sticking to my workout schedule.
Yup - avoiding food as a reward.
Yesterday I awarded myself a new running/workout cap instead of hitting Dunkin Donuts.
Today maybe I'll upgrade my workout shoes to ones better for gym style workouts (need more side to side stability).
Then I'll be out of Xmas gift cards - so I'll need a cheaper rewards system next week.
