1/18/13 ~ 216.2

Friday, January 18, 2013

Had a wonderful birthday. I got my walk done, and decided to go see Skyfall, the new Bond film. We skipped the concession stand and enjoyed the movie. I came home, watched American Idol, and then Taken 2 on On Demand. By then I was tired, so I went to bed early around 11 p.m.

So I woke up early, and got my walk done at the gym. I am just finishing breakfast, and taking my pills. I weighed in at 216.2. Today I am having 3 chicken thighs, and green beans for both lunch and dinner. Chicken is cooking right now. I lost a lb over 3 days at 1800 calories ( 52% fat ), and another lb in 2 days at 2100 calories ( 68% fat ). Today I am at 2300 calories ( 72% fat ). Right now, my goal is to get below 215, but I think it would be interesting to eat a few weeks at 50% fat, a few more at 60% fat, and then a few more at 70% fat. See how it affects my weight when I manipulate the fat. Problem is, I am losing weight, so weight loss in week 6 could be much slower than week 1, just because I am much closer to GW, If I did the 70% first, I would be doing the opposite. I should have thought of this when I weighed 280..lol. I am just happy that I can lose the same weight, while eating 500 calories more.

I plan on reading most of the afternoon, then going out with my friends tonight. They want to celebrate my birthday, but I told them NO food/ cake whatever at all. Low carb seems simple, but people try to understand it, and give you low carb food. The problem is that even among low carbers, many eat foods that I can't handle. Unless you get me a cake made of chicken, it probably isn't on my diet..lol. If they try, I always feel obligated. So I pre-warned them. I will throw any cake at them. I plan to get home early, by 10 p.m., so they can go drink. I have no idea why drinking at 40 is fun, and it is not on my diet, or good for a heart patient, but hard to explain to drunk friends. Easier just to enjoy a few hours before they get drinking, and then come home and eat my dinner. It has worked several times before, and a few hours of fun is about all I can handle anyways..lol.

Other than that, my brother may have something to do, but I have nothing for 5-6 hours. Update on the battle of weight loss between us. I am down 2, he is down 3.. emoticon
I may have to stop and buy him some brownies. I WILL resort to cheating..j/k. emoticon

That's all for today, talk at you tomorrow. Have a blessed day!

Happy Birthday! emoticon emoticon Good job on the weight loss. I also do better on higher fat than just low carb/low calorie. Fat seems to be key.

    Enjoy your excursion!

Hey, you're messing me up here! You were supposed to be 216.4 today, based on your .4 of a pound loss per day streak!

Glad you enjoyed what you decided in the end!

I've never been a fan of heavy drinking at all, only ever really been drunk, hmm, about 5 times in my life.
