I started C25k today! i'm actually (really, truly) going to do this!
The first fifteen minutes? Easy! seriously - I was laughing at how easy it was. (Even with the added frustration of having a kid along with me.) But even after the first 2 running segments? I was fine. Breathing heavy. But fine.
Of course, after that? My cockiness caught up with me and I was praying that it would end soon. I was out of breath. I was tired. My body wanted to stop. (Hey - I'm VERY overweight. Of course it wanted to stop. It wanted a donut. Or one of those cinnamon rolls we made the other day. The ones that I gave kidlet the last one this morning.)
But, I finished! I did it! And? I know I'll do it again.
I learned a few things today though.
*Running my backyard SUCKS. (I'll have to figure out a better alternative - Kidlet and I tried a few of the side streets, but she just wasn't into it. So we returned to the backyard. Which is uneven. Dirt. And just plain Sucky.
*I liked working out first thing. (8 was about perfect - the kids were in school, people were at work, the roads were pretty empty!
*I love the C25K app that I found
*My Mumford and Sons playlist on Spotify is pretty good for running
