Ok it's been a while. My birthday,Christmas New Years and oh yeah having the flu, even though I got my flu shot...bummer!

So 2013 is off to a not so good start...but!

They say the first step is to acknowledge it before you can take care of it. (What ever it is) and for me to say it out loud or in type.

So here goes...... From being sick since Dec. 12 on-off I have gained back about 10 pounds!! I thought my eyes would pop out of my head when I made myself get on the scale this morning!!!! Crap!!!

I know I had my weight under control up until the very beginning of Jan. Because they weighed me every time I set foot in my doc's office.

BUt I have not had the energy to exercise and now i can feel the effects of that.

SO now that I know for sure I have a plan.

I have decided $70 a month for Zumba classes is a little steep. If I spend some money out front and then use the stuff at home I can do this.

I bought a Zuma-y dance DVD and a weightlifting almost like Body Pump DVD and am looking for a Step DVD.

I will purchase the weights and the step and then I can do this in my own home at my own pace and maybe hit a walk-in class once in a while if I feel the need for people.

After the initial investment I can save my $70 a month.

I always felt like if I was working out at home I can only do one hour. Why??
If I do 2 or more at the studio why can't I do that at home.. Answer: I can.
I have to be realistic I HATE working out in the mornings before work. So if I get in 2 hours in the evening I don't have to get up I can concentrate on getting to work! I got my DVDs in the mail yesterday, only ordered them in Tuesday! SO now I have to go get the other items and off I go next week.

I also can take my laptop out onto the patio when the weather gets better and do my body pumping out side. That sounds great to me!

I have faced my worst fear and admitted thatI let myself go...but I have to stop it now, I don't have anymore fat pants to wear I gave them al away!!! LOL

So glad to be feeling better and be determined and to be back!!!

The second step is to admit on my spark page where I track my weight. Yikes!!!

    I'm a big fan of at home DVD work outs, myself, even though I do go to the gym now and then. I like being able to mix it up a little between dance workouts, strength training ones, and cardio and stretching workouts. I also do the dvd walking workouts with resistance bands, which are pretty awesome. Glad to see you posting again, glad you are feeling better, and glad you are taking back control!

    That flu has been awful! Two of us got hit with it, but thankfully the other three in the house didn't get it! Laurence and I are still recovering and we had it over Christmas! I hope you're feeling better. Make sure to let yourself recover enough!
