I have calluses on the ball of my left foot. I went to the doctor to see what they were and she was like "yep. calluses. I'll shave off the dead skin." Dear Lord, it hurts to walk on it. I asked her if there was anything I can do to soften the skin. She told me that the only thing I can do is to stay off of it for a few weeks.
I'm staying off of it until Monday, when I start running and zumba-ing again. I'm also going to talk to a podiatrist about it. I feel as though their opinion is much more useful. I just don't feel as though calluses should be hurting that much. I had one on my thumb from playing clarinet. I just put some pad on the part that I used to hold it up and it didn't hurt anymore. There's gotta be something for my foot.
Bright side: I'm gonna ask my dad to take Body Pump with me at the gym. He does the strength training and cardio, so I want him to take a class with me that does both. It could be something fun we can do together...so I'm emailing him and sending him a video and all that fun stuff. Hopefully he says yes and attends at least one with me.
