Major headache!

Friday, January 18, 2013

So this morning I was awakened with a slight headache about 5am. I got up and took an aleeve and then went back to bed. After a little while it seemed a little worse so I took another aleeve. After that I felt some better. But now oh boy do I have a headache. But I'm not sure what is causing it. I've been off caffeine all week, but I haven't really had any problems. I would think maybe it's because I'm eating healthier and my body is kind of detoxing, but my son also woke up with a headache this morning and actually got sick. My ears also started hurting just a little while ago. I've got to get up and exercise but I don't feel like it. But I'm going to do it.

Caffeine withdrawals are common and usually start 3-5 days after stopping. My entire family went through them because we had all stopped sodas and sugars. It was horrible but definitely an eye opener to what we were putting in our bodies. The flu is also going around so that could be it as well.

Not sure since it is your son also, unless he is eating healthier also, but many people go through what is known as "carb flu" when they come off the processed foods, fast foods, sugars, etc.

Feel better soon! If you think it is a sinus headache, you might try a warm compress. Sometimes that helps me,

I can sympathize...daily (yes, literally every day see my past blogs if you'd like) headaches or migraines for 14 years now. I hope you get feeling better! Headaches are just NO FUN!!!! It really is tough to function with a bad one.

So sorry about your headache! I get them a lot (chronic migraine sufferer) so I can sympathize.

It sounds like it could be a sinus headache. Are you congested at all? I've also found that aleve is not very helpful for me for headaches. It's more of a muscle pain reliever than a headache pain reliever. Ibuprofen works better on headaches for me. Try drinking some water. If you're congested, try a decongestant or a vaporizer to help with it. That might help more. I hope you feel better quickly!
