Day 1

Today was day one of my commitment to get my blood sugars down and lose weight. I increased my dosage of lamictal yesterday from 250mg to 300mg. I woke up this morning with a really strange tired (not sleepy though) feeling and headache in my forehead area. I did not want to get out of bed but did it and got some things accomplished. Got dishes done, dinner cooked and rounded up the garbage to take it out. Felt good! I'm still having a little bit of anxiety in my tummy but not as bad a it has been. I'm getting that burning sensation on my skin. My pdoc think it might be peripheral nerve damage but my sugar is only 162 (2 hours after snack). I've been getting this burning/itching sensation for the past 4 or 5 days. I can cope. Right now I just want to get my mood stable and get back to life including getting my house clean! emoticon I'm also really working on keeping my logs and controlling the amount of sugar and carbs I eat.

    You're going about it the right way: one step at a time, bit by bit. It's probably a good idea to keep track of how you feel each day, too, so if any patterns develop, you can make your doctor aware of them...
