Day 17 Dandelion tea

Thursday, January 17, 2013

All challenges met emoticon

This morning I brewed a cup of dandelion tea - it's supposed to support liver function. It didn't taste overly herbal to me, a little sweeter than regular tea maybe but very nice.

I woke up with the same headache from yesterday and despite the Aleve it got worse during the morning. I did manage to clear my desk in the office and get all the tax forms for the business done, ready to go in the mail. By lunchtime it was so bad I took another dose of Aleve and after eating something it got a little better and now it's only a nagging throb.

Breakfast - eggwhite, chia seed, strawberry smoothie, cup of dandelion tea
Snack - bowl of grapefruit
Lunch - bowl of vegetarian chili with 1/4 avocado
Snack - 10 almonds and a half a pear, pot of Ceylon tea
Dinner - bowl carrot soup

Lis, are you having grapefruit within 2 hours before or after medication? Grapefruit is known to interfere with other medications, so be aware of that.

That chilli looks amazing!
I have never tried dandelion tea! In Spring my garden is FULL of them, I am too afraid to pick them and eat them like some people do....we have racoons/ skink, squirrel and pets in the neighborhood, so I don't want to be picking any from my lawn! LOL

Hope no headache today?

Wow - your diet is looking so impressive every day!!! I'm so impressed with your efforts - Woo Hoo! Good lookin' avocado in that chili, too. Do you believe your diet is putting you through a detox, hence, the headaches? Hope you have a great day. emoticon

Hm... I wonder about your persistent headache. Is there anything you can pin it down to? I think caffeine has that effect because it dilates your blood vessels - maybe something you don't usually eat or have suddenly withdrawn has had an effect? Am very impressed you managed to deal with tax matters despite head - respect!

I'm sorry about your headache. Is it the migraine type? Those are so nasty, but I have a difficult time with ANY headache!! Your chilli looks delish!
