The excuse game

My Dr. called with the results of my lab work, everything good except my totally Cholesterol 223 so she said I can choose to try to control with diet or go on meds, I'm opting for the diet. I believe I can do it I have to for my health, my blood pressure is high and i'm already on meds for that. I don't want to start taking meds for everything thats wrong with me. Today I came home from work with a bad headache, the old me would of used this excuse to eat some comfort food. I'm proud to say I drank some water and laid down for a few minutes, I was a bit hungry so I made some hummus and at it with some baby carrots (I would usually eat it with some pita) then did a belly dancing video for 28 minutes of cardio. In the end I felt good about myself and my headache went away. I know the road ahead is a long one, but I can see the light at the end!

I know all about excuses because I nominated myself as the excuses queen. I am glad you were strong and stuck to your routine and diet. I believe in you emoticon

    You definitely can do this!!! Good job on not letting your headache derail you from eating right and getting in a little cardio....that is emoticon
