I am not a great lover of exercise but I do understand it's importance so since I have joined Sparkpeople I have tried to incorporate it into my life. I have used some of the videos but because I broke my foot a few months back and it is in the process of healing, I am not doing high impact exercise. At my orthopedic surgeon's suggestion I ride my recumbent bike for 30-35minutes daily and occasionally do the seated core exercise videos. I know that is not sufficient for core strengthening. We have recently learned that our health insurance will cover a gym membership so my DH and I joined one this week. I am excited about getting started. I will be able to do both strengthening and cardio exercises. The goal is to leave more healthy and to keep my mobility as I age.
