Well, even though I had such a despicable day at the gym yesterday I decided to give it one more chance. I noticed there were two back to back Les Mills classes, and figured that might be the way to go since then I would not have to worry about broken equipment. I took Body Combat and Body Pump. They were both very good. The instructors were awesome and both came from an hour away to teach the class. So 1. That is probably why they were good instructors and 2. They must be REALLY dedicated. Today in Body Combat when we were punching at our reflection in the mirror, I was totally fighting and destroying my old self. The self that would emotionally eat, or would be too lazy to get off the couch for days at a time. I fought the fattening foods, I karate chopped the adult beverages I had consumed in over indulgence. I round house kicked the bag of Lay's BLT potato chips I would down in one sitting. It felt GREAT.
Tomorrow I am going to try Cycle for the first time. I really really liked the Body Pump instructor that was there today and she is going to be teaching Cycle tomorrow. So, I guess all things, even negative things have a silver lining. If I had just went on my opinion yesterday and did not go back to the gym, I would not have found an instructor I like so much and never would have tried cycle. I am looking forward to adding yet another different kind of exercise into my list of exercises I do. So does this mean I cross train. lol :P
