Day 3

I really thought I was going to collapse after today. I did 45 mins worth of strength training with 5 lb dumbells, then I proceeded to walk 1 mile in 14 mins. I did make it through the entire one mile but I had to push myself. I got so tired I wanted to stop and curl up on the couch with a glass of ice water. But I didn't. I've had yet another great day and even went to Walmart. We parked as far away from the store in the parking lot as possible, walked all the way down, walked through the store like women on a mission and then walked all the way back to the car. I didn't count the walmart exercise yet. I'll add that before I go to bed. Right now I just want to grab another glass of ice water and curl up on the couch and crochet my mother's mittens. I do have to say something tho....

I've slept through the night the last three evenings. I've never slept better. No waking up in the middle of the night for a bathroom run, grab a drink and no tossing and turning. I normally take 2 hours to fall asleep and have dozed off within 15 mins of my head hitting the pillow. Exercise and being active does make a difference.

Being pro-active with my diet and exercise is the best choice I could have ever made in my 42 years!
