Motivation

Thursday, January 17, 2013

Sorry friends I have no motivation, just cant seem to get myself up and moving. I do not like this and yet I am not doing it. Anyone else ever feel like this. Especially after I have been sick for so long.

I pray I can get back to feeling good about self and do something. I think I may have the winter blahs or depression not sure what??

I am here though and still trying. I am not a quitter and I will not give up, have too many friends here, been here since August 09. emoticon

I've been the same way. I was sick quite a while, and I am also having trouble getting the motivation and ambition to get my butt out of my chair and move. I've been sleeping good at night, then keep falling asleep in my chair during the day. Hopefully this is just a side effect from being ill for so long and that once our bodies get enough rest we'll be good to go again!

Well, being sick will quite often bring you down. I would staart with making a list of things you want to do and how you can build up to that and then start working on some 'baby steps' to get you on your way. Good luck!

I know what you are talking about, I've been my own worst enemy lately.

I have decided that as of today, I need to get walking with Leslie again and use my nutrition tracker.

I'm making small achievable goals, I sometimes try to make too many changes at once.

Take one day and one step at a time, as everyone has kindly advised me - especially if you are still in recovery mode.

Good luck.

Keep current on SP and keep posting. Everyone experiences distractions, loss of motivation or fatigue. It is how you get through it that separates the weak from the strong. emoticon

I know exactly what you are saying. Ken and I have been dealing with the flu and it has really kicked my butt. There are days I can hardly get out of bed but I force myself to do it. I think last of sunshine and all the cold and snow outside are contributing to my feeling of YUCK!!! I am forcing myself to ride my recumbent bike and walking on the treadmill but doing everything in short periods of time. I do feel better about myself after I have accomplished some activities but just not quite like I did before the flu hit. I am not a quitter and will continue to push through.

Put a smile on your face and know that you are doing the best you can for each day. Your best may be different each day but that is all you can do. Hopefully our get up and go will come back with the sunshine and more springlike weather. WE CAN DO IT!!!

You will remain in my thoughts and prayers.
Blessings and hugs,
Helen
