I hate feeling like i am starving when i am eating good

Thursday, January 17, 2013

I have been doing pretty good so far on my tracking and have gone over the calories a few times but not too bad. I have been feeling like i am starving though and my stomach growling loudly doesn't help. it is hard to go from eating whatever you want to a restricted calorie diet. I feel so dramatic saying this, but a few times i have felt like I was going to die if i didn't eat. I have been eating a good breakfast, lunch , dinner and snacks but it seems like it is not enough. All of my tracking has been within range of protein and ect. so i just dont understand. Well as they say "suck it up sally" and i will have to keep going. So encouragement to myself: You will survive and you will not starve to death!!!

thank you all for the helpful advice. I have been drinking at least 64oz of water a day so that helps some. I think i do need to eat carbs and protien together for snacks and see if that will help. I did it before so i know i can do it again!!!

Are you eating carbs AND protein together as a snack? Supposedly, putting these together is to be more fillng. I can't recall yet but it works for me. For example, cheese and apples; peanut butter and crackers; tuna and pasta.

Hang in there, it takes awhile for your head and stomach to "get" what you are trying to do. I was told this by a nutritionist and she was right, finally the hunger just went away. Nice to see you back.

Filling up on protien and fiber helps keep me full, and water too.

Looking up may be right. If you have cravings it can do that.
So can not taking time to chew your food.
I am an emotional eater and want to eat constantly.
I have to eat my meals and chew on gum the rest of the time.
Congrats on tracking the food and not going way over on your tracker.
That is an accomplishment in itself! You will get where you are going.
Have a great day sister! Holly emoticon

It may be a trigger food, like carbs, or sugar, or coffee, or gluten, etc that is making you want more. We cut out gluten and noticed we felt more satisfied. Best wishes.
