.....to succeed this time! emoticon

I've been away from Sparkpeople for a while. While I have tried to watch my diet and keep my glucose down to a manageable level, it just seems to be easier to keep myself in check if I have to log and record on a regular basis. Seeing my daily caloric intake stay within my goal ranges gives me a feeling of accomplishment. It also helps me think twice about having that extra piece of candy or bowl of ice cream when I could have a yogurt or something else that is better for me all around. That's the problem, I'm ALL AROUND! Mirrors are my enemy right now and the only time I look in one is my morning brush and wash routine. Other than that, I don't look. Now I have to get a new battery for the scale to make sure it functions properly so I can weigh in every day. All this work and sacrifice is going to do something good and I want proof!

I have also invited my husband to join Sparkpeople, he has weight to lose and also has health issues that will improve if not go away all together if he loses weight. It is our goal together and if I can get him on here, he will see how easy it is to avoid snacking when he has to fess up to himself in his food log. I can dream!

The fitness part of this will be an elliptical that my boss gave me and has been very useful....as a clothes hanger! My goal is to get enough room for it in the office/laundry room/attached garage so I can use it and talk to my husband at the same time. Right now it's in a bedroom with the treadmill that HE is supposed to be using, and it's quite cramped and dreary in there. Maybe this weekend we can get my son to help us move it.

Well for now I am going to get back to work. Hoping to have some positive results by the end of the week. Even one pound would make me happy!
