Good things come to those who wait...
For the past two years I've been looking for the "perfect" thing to hang in my kitchen corner for pots and pans. I shopped online about a year ago and found "just the right thing" which came with a price tag of $249. I could win the lottery and never hope to spend that kind of money on a decoration for my kitchen. I need the space, but not at that price. So ever sense, I've been hunting for the appropriate repurposed rack for this space:
My picky, "I'll know it when I see it", attitude, turned down everything from a circular BBQ grill at homer for $15 to a wooden ladder Dave was willing to donate.
Thumbing through Pinterest, I found this and it was love at first sight! Our friend Frank, had donated a bike stroller with extra wheels to us last year. We had hoped to use it for our dog, Sherman, he proved to be a bit too wild in it! As soon as I showed Dave, he loved it too and went to work.
The next morning, he gave me all the components, a painted, repurposed bed rail, lag bolts and my polished Pot Rack. He let me install it:
Do you love it?
Total cost $ Priceless! Right? Actually, we had all the components in our shop; fondly referred to as D & J surplus, this cheap and easy girl's little piece of heaven.
Ahhh, just looking at it makes me want to go and cook some beans! hahaha
