A Great Place To Start

Blogging. Not something I have had time for.

Today: My first day of unemployment from Independence Energy, and on the job search again.

So, here I am writing up a quick blog.

Unemployment, while sucky, does leave me the time on my hands to get some S#!T DONE. First and foremost, I will be exercising REGULARLY with NO EXCUSES. This was happening already, but then I got SUPER SUPER SICK for two weeks. Fever, exhaustion, congestion, DAT COUGH! UGH!

So, today I finally feel well enough to jump back into things. Literally! Gonna jump around with the brand new Turbo Jam (Cardio Party: LIVE!) DVD that my Mom got me for Christmas... Then AB JAM, and then move on with my day. I've already checked in on my internet, had breakfast and a delicious coffee, and finished my book (reading, not writing!), and it's only noon-thirty!

So, I jumped on the scale as I put on my workout clothes, and I'm at EXACTLY 150.0 today. I claim only downward movement from here on out. I have yet ANOTHER deal with Pat that will be on trial run next week, where if I get through MY workout during the day, HE has to work out when he gets home while I make us dinner... BEFORE he slows down and loses all momentum. Here's hoping. I need a little support in this that I have never gotten, and he needs to work out because he's really been down in the dumps, self-conscious, and exhausted, and he needs those exercise endorphins!!

Band practice later tonight and a gig this weekend that I'm terrified about (we've been dormant since Halloween gig-wise), and then oh-so-many upcoming events. I can't wait to compare photos of me NOW to photos of me by Steampunk World's Fair in May!

Well, I'd better stop procrastinating and start all that exercise I've been talking about! I like to move it, move it! Here goes nothing!

1/17/13: A very good place to 'start...'

I am telling you, last time I was unemployeed I lost 30 lbs because I had so much time to devote to a healthy life and Spark People.
Of course I gained it all back when I went to work.
This time I have lost it WHILE working and while it came of slower, I think it will stay off.
Steam Punk World's Fair sound Fun!
