I had an OB appointment yesterday. I am measuring right on schedule and the baby's heart beat is strong. I have appointments every two weeks now and I will be getting another ultrasound in about 4 weeks. That may be the last time I see her in the womb. I am excited to get to see her again.
I started my birth preparation classes on Monday. When we introduced ourselves our instructor had us say our favorite thing about the pregnancy and our biggest problem/concern.
Hearing what other people had to say made me really thankful for the normal pregnancy I am going through. Sure I am sore and tired and have frequent heartburn, but that is normal. There is a lady in my class who has gestational carpal tunnel (which I didn't even know existed) and her placenta isn't attached like it is supposed to be so she has to go to the doctor way more often to be monitored. A lot of people also said their hands go numb a lot. After hearing those things I am glad my biggest problem is no comfortable sleeping positions.
My mother-in-law gave us her old dresser a few years ago and I am having it repainted to go in the baby's room. I had it picked up yesterday and it should be finished in a couple of weeks. Then I can start putting the baby's stuff away!
I bought her the cutest little skort a while ago. I was ordering some clothes online for me and I was only $2 away from free shipping. The skort was $3 so in my mind it was essentially free. I would have had to pay $8 in shipping so my total with the skort was $51 and without it would have been $56. If you think about it, it is like they paid me to buy it. :) I am trying not to buy too many clothes right now since I don't know how big she is going to start out and whether she will follow clothes sizes. There is so much cute little girl stuff though that it is hard to resist at times.
Only 9 more weeks!
