I went to the doctor's on Tuesday for a refill on my BP meds and they did a blood draw too (They poked me 4 times before they got a vein!)
Well, they called today and told me that my blood sugar was a little high. I always figured I'd end up with the "D" disease because my parents have it, I just never thought it would be at age 39.
Now the doctors office didn't actually say that I had "D" but those are words that I do not want to hear until I'm at least 50.
Welcome to the first day of the rest of my life! I guess this was the wake up call that I needed to really get the ball rolling again and get this weight off! I dusted off my 28 Day Bootcamp DVD, did day 1 and only tripped over the dog once. I am on day 5 of my water goal streak which is good since my last water streak was 6 days. Pitiful. I know.
I am going to reach my goals though, because I do not want to be a diabetic for the next 30 years. Lately I've been singing the only words I know of an old song to my self...Ain't nothing gonna break my stride, nothing gonna slow me down, oh no, I've got to keep on movin'. Words to live by.
