So, I have been faithfully exercising for the past two weeks. I pretty much had to start over after our son died in a car accident in December. There was so much going on that my weigh loss goal got shoved to the back burner. But I have been very determined these past weeks, and I have lost 5 pounds! I am so excited! Now whenever I don't feel like doing my daily exercise, I just remember the 5 lbs I have lost so far, and remember what an amazing feeling it is! This time I am going to do it! emoticon

    Thank you all for your kind words. Losing a child is an indescribable feeling. It leaves a big gaping hole in your life that may not ever be filled in. I struggle with depression, and this almost pushed me over the edge. But after countless hours of grieving and praying, I have decided that I can't just curl up in a ball and let life pass me by. I have three other children that deserve a healthy, functioning Mom. And exercise is a great way to get out my frustrations and aggressions.

    Congrats on your positive attitude after your loss. I also feel the same way about exercise. It seems to help pick me up many days. Keep remembering the 5 pounds lost, never give up and those 5 pounds will turn into 10, then 15, etc. Keep up the good work.

    I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your son. I can't imagine how difficult it has been for you. I admire your attitude, in times of stress I have turned to exercise and it has really helped me (mentally especially) I wish you all the luck in meeting your fitness goals, you sound like you are well on your way to success !     So sorry about your son!! emoticon I can't imagine how hard it is to pick yourself back up! You have a great attitude and glad you are seeing results. I am on day 11 of my commitment and feel like I am doing great with exercise & diet. But no results yet!? I hope I see some soon but for now I will keep focusing on how good I feel!
