Where does time go?

Thursday, January 17, 2013

Wow I haven't blogged since October!!

So in November we bought a puppy!! I love him very much. I had no idea how much work they are! They get up in the night to pee, they need constant attention at first, can't leave them more than 3 hours at a time so I'm walking to work in the morning, home at lunch, back to work, back home, I'm walking lots! haha

I haven't been running much lately. I'm a little bummed about that. I got super busy with the puppy, then my back was hurting big time. Then I got pretty sick (bronchitis). So now that life has settled down a bit I am planning to get back out there and train for the Bluenose 10K! I won't be able to start for another week (gotta finish my antibiotics first and build my strength up a bit) but then I'm going to follow a 10K training schedule, I'm very excited! Plus I walk over 5K a day going back and forth from work and home and walking the puppy in the evenings so I'm getting lots of walking in!

Here is a picture of our new little cutie (his name is Buster)

Here is my daughter out sledding with him! He loved to jump on her lap at the top of the hill but as soon as the sled moved he jumped off!

Awww so cute - both the puppy and your daughter! Yes, puppies are a TON of work. I hope that things are a little easier now that the puppy is a little older.

Glad you are still around! Our weather has been crappy for outdoor running, to say the least! You will do great for the 10K - woo!!

how freakin' cute is your puppy! Where did you get him? I just got a doggie myself last summer from a shelter - BEST DOG I'VE EVER HAD! Once you get one from a shelter, you will never buy one from anywhere else :D

anyways, good luck on the 10k!
