Yesterday it snowed one of those heavy, sticky snows. It was great snow to make snowmen and snowballs. Not good snow for shoveling! Some people go overboard with their snowmen. Look what they did in Bethel, Maine a few years ago! Their snowman was over 117 feet tall. They were able to make such a large snowman because they first designed a strong metal frame to pile the snow on.
Snowflakes are one of God’s most fragile creations, but just look at what they can do when they stick together. Snowflakes are amazing because they are unbiased. None of them are exactly the same, but when the conditions are right, they all stick together.
With a strong structure, Christ’s Church can become all that God intends us to be. What kind of conditions need to be in our church for all of US to stick together? We need to walk in the love of God. Ephesians 5:2 states, “walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us”. Let’s learn a lesson from the flakes. We’re much stronger together than we ever could be apart.
